I have lived locally for more than thirty years and South Downs Tours was born out of my love for this breath-takingly beautiful area and my passion to share it.
Famed more as a Victorian seaside resort, it is a little known fact that Eastbourne is the 'Eastern Gateway Town' to the South Downs National Park and just moments from its delightful seafront, iconic coastline can be found and just a step inland opens up the delight of historic pubs and villages, country lanes and even a mysterious 235ft high hill carving!
I have walked the downland in all seasons and paddled the Cuckmere meanders. Now, I invite you to join me on the road!
"Nick has a warm and easy personality, clearly knows and loves this area and brought it all alive for us. What a great day,
I totally recommend it."
We were the first couple to have the good fortune to take this tour of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters with an experienced and interesting tour guide. Travelling in a smaller vehicle rather than a big bus we were able to go to quieter and less trodden areas and then walk to see the most stunning scenery and breathtaking viewing points.
The history of the area, the geology of the cliff formation and its erosion along with the flora and fauna and delightful villages gave us the most exciting and rewarding morning during our stay in Eastbourne.
